The group has been running now for about two years.  We meet regularly at the Craigie Hotel in Bog Road at 7:30pm until 9:00pm on the second Monday of the month.  Over the winter months, we’ve been meeting on the last Friday of the month from 3:30pm until 4:30pm at the same venue.                                                                                                         At the outset, we tried running Friday meetings throughout the year but, attendance dropped off in the summer so it was decided to suspend these meetings until October.  It may run on into the Spring and it will be suspended again until this coming October if the same happens.                                                                                                                     There are 14 people in the group although not everyone attends all meetings but regularly, we have around eight to ten people present at Monday meetings and maybe around half that number at Friday gatherings.                             It’s a very friendly group and our meetings are quite lively with a lot of conversation.  Some between two or three members, some of these merge into other discussions and often, the whole table becomes involved.  A wide variety of topics are discussed although we try and steer clear of politics and religion: but mild political topic occasionally creeps in.
