Group contact: Val Trewavas

We usually suggest a theme or topic for each six-weekly meeting.  Members bring along a poem to read and a book which they have enjoyed and recommend (or one which did not appeal to them.)  Our choices usually stimulate lively discussion.  We have greatly enjoyed being introduced to new authors, genres, and topics we would not have considered previously.  The topics are very elastic, and if members wish they just bring along the latest book they have read.  Our themes have included "Festivity", "New Beginnings" and "Anti-heroes".  Our next theme is "Freedom."
